We are so excited to be offering summer classes again this year!
Our class time will be divided between design challenges, learning and improving our sewing techniques and creating projects. For classes over 2 hours please bring a nut free snack or light meal for your child.
Beginner and experienced sewers are welcome in all classes, unless there is a prerequisite listed.
Students will work at their own pace on projects they pick and that are appropriate for their skill level. Students who have taken previous studio classes will be given the opportunity to pick more complicated projects if they choose.
1 Day Beginner Workshops
Brand new sewers and sewers with a new machine join us in the studio and grow their sewing and fashion design skills!
Students will be given a sketchbook, complete 1 mannequin design challenge and learn to use their sewing machine with confidence.
This is the perfect class for complete beginners but students who are curious about sewing, fashion and design!
This class does not include a project but the instructor will have one small beginner project available for those that are ready.

Little Fashion Designers Learn to Sew
Little designers join us in the studio and grow their sewing and fashion design skills! Students will be given a fashion sketchbook and practice their fashion sketching. They will learn to use a sewing machine and create designs on a mannequin. This is the perfect class for complete beginners but students with more experience are more than welcome!
Students with previous sewing experience will be offered a choice of several projects based on their skill level.
Students will work at their own pace. Depending on students skill level and previous experience they may complete 1-3 projects.

Choose Your Own Adventure
Designers join us in the studio for this session and choose their own project!
Beginner students will do an introduction to using a sewing machine in a safe and professional manner. Students will learn to thread and operate their sewing machine safely with confidence, before moving on to a beginner project.
Students with previous sewing experience will be offered a choice of several projects based on their skill level.
Students will work at their own pace. Depending on students skill level, the projects they choose and previous experience they may complete 1-3 projects.

Sleepover Essentials
Designers join us in the studio where we will be making all their sleepover essentials.
Beginner students will do an introduction to using a sewing machine in a safe and professional manner. Students will learn to thread and operate their sewing machine safely with confidence, before moving on to a beginner project.
Students with previous sewing experience will be offered a choice of several projects based on their skill level. Projects will be sleepover themed and include pj shorts, an eye mask, pillows, stuffies, a sleepover tote bag, scrunchies and more!
Students will work at their own pace. Depending on students skill level, the projects they choose and previous experience they may complete 1-3 projects.

TEEN UPcycle it
Bring your favourite old concert Ts, thrift store gems or sentimental treasures and join us in the studio where we will be repurposing all your favourite items into one-of-a-kind new pieces!
Students will work at their own pace to alter and repurpose clothing. Students may bring items or choose from items available in studio.
Prerequisite: Students must have taken a minimum 3 hours of Sew Me Studio sewing classes and be comfortable threading and operating a sewing machine or have approval from the instructor. Please contact the studio if you have any questions about prerequisites.
